KEY STAKEHOLDERS AND LINKS

Key Relationships

After many years of working alongside each other the Cancer Society of New Zealand formalised a sun safety partnership with the Health Sponsorship Council (HSC) in 2001.  The HSC is a social marketing agency. The two organisations now have a joint Sun Safety Programme, working together to reduce the proportion of New Zealanders who develop and die from skin cancer.

The partnership takes a very collaborative approach and works with a number of other organisations, both within New Zealand and internationally.  These include Ministry of Health, NIWA, MetService and the NZ Dermatological Society.

We have created several lists of websites, with links to the sites. These websites are not maintained by the Cancer Society of New Zealand.  We only list websites we believe offer credible and responsible information, but we cannot guarantee that the information on such websites is correct, up-to-date or evidence-based medical information.

If you are a patient, we suggest you discuss any information concerns you may have with your cancer care health professionals.
