Key Relationships
After many years of working alongside each other the Cancer Society of New Zealand formalised a sun safety partnership with the Health Sponsorship Council (HSC) in 2001. The HSC is a social marketing agency. The two organisations now have a joint Sun Safety Programme, working together to reduce the proportion of New Zealanders who develop and die from skin cancer. The partnership takes a very collaborative approach and works with a number of other organisations, both within New Zealand and internationally. These include Ministry of Health, NIWA, MetService and the NZ Dermatological Society.
