SUBMISSIONS

A key activity is advocacy for healthy public policy in the area of skin cancer control. Recent activities have included advocacy for:

  • The development of shade in a range of settings, including public buildings, local councils, schools and early childhood centres.
  • The strengthening of regulations governing the operation of solaria and for solaria operators to comply with the joint Australian/New Zealand Standard for solaria.
  • A legislative and regulatory framework that ensures that the outdoor workforce is protected from harmful exposure to the sun.
