RESEARCH GRANTS PROGRAMME
The Cancer Society is a major funder of life-saving and world class cancer research through its Research Grants Programme.
2010 Grant Round
The Society will consider proposals from prominent and well-published scientific researchers aimed at detecting and treating cancer more effectively.
Research grants will also be available through the Society from funds raised by the 2008 Movember campaign. The Movember Foundation is an Australian based, not for profit, charitable organisation that implements the Movember event each year. The organisation has selected the Cancer Society of New Zealand as one of two new beneficiary partners for the next three years. Grant applications for research related to men’s cancers, in particular the causes, detection, diagnosis and improved treatment of prostate cancer, will be considered for this.
Applications for the 2010 Grant Round will be advertised in September 2009.
