THE NATIONAL OFFICE
The National Office of the Cancer Society of New Zealand was established in 1981 and is based in Wellington. It is headed by the National Office Chief Executive. Staff of the National Office provide secretariats to each of the Advisory Committees as well as support to the National Board.
The National Office is responsible for the development of policy issues and implementing national initiatives such as national Health Promotion campaigns and the coordination of the Volunteer and Support Services functions.
The National Office is also home to the Cancer Society's commercial company, Daffodil Enterprises Ltd. This company is responsible for the development and marketing of a range of products sold in retail that generate income for the Society.
Daffodil Day and other national fundraising programmes are also centralised at the National office.
