COMPLEMENTARY THERAPY

The Cancer Society offers a number of complementary services to people affected by cancer, which can be used alongside conventional clinical services to help improve physical or emotional well-being.

Personal services on offer include massage and aromatherapy.  Group programmes include Tai Chi, hydrotherapy exercise and meditation.

LOOK GOOD...FEEL BETTER
Look Good…Feel Better is a free nationwide service offered several times each year at all Cancer Society divisions throughout New Zealand.

Its aim is to help women offset appearance-related changes from cancer treatment and improve quality of life.

The programme was founded and developed by the Cosmetic Toiletry & Fragrances Association of NZ, (the Trade Association which represents the cosmetic industry) and is volunter-based. Member companies donate all the products, over $1.5 million worth, for the workshops.
