Cancer Information Service
Cancer can be difficult to understand and may raise many questions and concerns. It can help to talk to someone you can rely on for up to date information as well as for support and understanding.
Our Cancer Information Service has been producing its own well-researched, easy to understand and trusted information for many years and provides it to:
• anyone who has a question or concern about cancer
• anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer
• anyone who cares about someone with cancer
• health professionals

Cancer Information Helpline
Our Cancer Information Helpline is a toll-free service available to people with cancer, their whanau, the general public and health professionals.
Experienced cancer nurses are available to answer your phone call or email on any cancer-related question, in confidence and in plain language.
Get answers to your questions about:
• any type of cancer
• cancer treatments and side effects
• clinical trials and research
• coping with cancer
• support in the community
• what you can do to reduce your cancer risk
• complementary and alternative therapies

Library
Library books are available from Daffodil House in Whangarei or through our Auckland based library and can be posted on request.
The Cancer Society carefully selects books on all types of cancer. There is also a speciality children's section with sensitively written stories for children who have a family member with cancer.
