New Taranaki Centre Manager - Jenny Henderson
Kelly Batley (Events Coordinator) and Jenny Henderson (Centre Manager) are ready for Daffodil Day 2010
New Centre Manager, Jenny, will be travelling around the mountain this Daffodil Day.
Jenny joined the Cancer Society as our new Centre Manager in June 2010. She comes to our Centre with over 11 year experience working with the Cancer Council Western Australia in previous management roles including merchandising, health promotion, sponsorship, and small business development.
As a cancer survivor, Jenny is a passionate consumer advocate, and was co-founder and a director of the first private clinic in Western Australia to fully treat and educate people living with Lymphoedema to self-manage their condition.
She has served on many cancer control related committees in Western Australia, including the Skin Cancer Steering Committee member, Consumer Participation Committee, Lymphoedema Association of WA, and was a member of the National Skin Cancer Committee Australia.
Having also worked for the Heart Foundation and Chamber of Commerce she has broad experience in leading small teams, project and event management, and communications in the NGO sector. Jenny joins us after five years as a project manager at the Taranaki District Health Board in Planning & Funding, Communications, and Public Health.
Jenny, and her husband Damian and dog Bugsy have lived in New Plymouth for the past five years.
