Sunsmart Wall of Fame

The Sunsmart Wall of Fame at the Tarankai Centre was launched on Monday 8^th November 2011. Harry Duynhoven, New Plymouth’s new Mayor, officiated at the launch which involved artists, teachers, parents and our art advisor Sue Walton.   It was a beautiful sunny day and it was great to see so many people make the effort to come and celebrate this wonderful addition to our building.   Mokoia School came in their entirety - all 17 pupils! The launch was followed by a morning tea of mouse traps, fruit and muffins.  The wall is already attracting a great deal of interest from passers by.   A sunny start to summer has meant lots of requests for information and resources from our Centre.
