March 2011 - We recently reached the $3 million point of our fundraising campaign - $2 million to go!
February 2011 - We bid farewell to the previous building and moved into the Tainui St site.
October 2010 - The $1.25million fundraising mark has been reached - $3 million to go!
September 2010 - The roof raising took place, marking a significant milestone in the final construction stages of the project.
August 2010 - All building progress is on track for the expected opening, December 2010
February 2010 - Lions Clubs of District 202L unanimously passed fundraising for the Lodge as a district project.
January 2010 - Construction is underway on the new Cancer Society's Lions Lodge. Read more about it here
December 2009 - Demolition of the old part of the building is now complete and Watts and Hughes Construction Waikato/Bay of Plenty Ltd will begin construction in January 2010.
November 2009 - The resource consent and plans for the new Lodge have been approved
October 2009 - The first stage of the project has begun with the turning of the sod and blessing of the new site. Read more about it here

July 2009 - The resource consent process has begun with any submissions from the neighbouring residents of the Lake Road site welcome.
