About Us
The Wairarapa Centre of the Cancer Society is dedicated to providing the best possible support for cancer patients and their carers. Through the generous support of the local community and the commitment of our volunteers and dedicated staff we continue to extend and improve services for those affected by cancer.
The Wairarapa Centre focus is primarily on growing dedicated support systems; raising awareness in health promotion areas; seeking new initiatives; providing quality information; and networking to improve communication links with other related organisations in the health industry.
The Cancer Society, Wairarapa Centre has an open door policy from 9:30am - 3:30pm weekdays. Patient consultation outside these hours can be arranged by appointment. Volunteers are always welcomed and often called upon - anyone interested may apply at the Centre.
