Using your will
Leave a lasting legacy - use your will to make a difference. Donating to the Cancer Society of New Zealand can be part of financial and estate planning in one's lifetime. Once you have made a will, there are many ways to consider how to bequeath your estate:
Leave a legacy - create a bequest to the Cancer Society that honours yourself or a loved one.
Provide a significant gift to the Cancer Society through a trust.
A bequest can leave jewellery, real estate, life insurance and stocks and shares to the Cancer Society.
A charitable gift during one's lifetime does not
incur any gift duty. Some generous people have gifted their family home
but reserved the right to remain living in that home, or any
replacement home for their lifetime.
After providing for your family you can nominate the Cancer Society to receive the residue of your estate, or you can leave a percentage of your estate to the Cancer Society.
