Beach Ambassadors

The Beach Ambassador Programme is a joint initiative with the Wellington City Council. This programme is designed to encourage people to be SunSmart while having fun out in the sun, at two city sites, Oriental Bay and Scorching Bay.

The Beach Ambassadors:
• are SunSmart role models,
• organise fun beach activities
• promote skin cancer prevention
• provide free sunscreen
• provide SunSmart umbrellas (for a gold coin donation)

Beach Ambasador programmes / SunSmart Oasis programme is also run in the Nelson area.
