Cancer Connect NZ
Linking people through their experiences with cancer
Hononga Mate Puku ki Aotearoa
Te hono tāngata mā ō rātou pānga ki te mate puku
If you or your family are dealing with a cancer diagnosis
You may find it helpful to talk to someone who has been through a similar experience.
Cancer Connect NZ is a free support service which provides information, and the opportunity to talk to someone who has gone through a similar experience to your own.
It doesn't matter where you live in New Zealand - all you need is access to a phone.
Cancer Connect NZ puts you in touch with a peer supporter volunteer.
Every Cancer Connect NZ peer supporter:
- Has had cancer, or cared for someone living with cancer
- Is trained and carefully selected to meet strict criteria
- Receives ongoing support
Find out more by calling 0800 CANCER (226 237). The phone lines are open Monday to Friday, from 9am - 5pm. Messages can be left after hours.
If you have been through a cancer experience
Cancer Connect NZ regularly recruits volunteers.
Please phone 0800 CANCER (226 237) for information on how to become a Cancer Connect NZ peer supporter.
